About
We built Meter Ready because the old tools wasted everyone's week.
EPA's Portfolio Manager is free and authoritative, but it's a 1990s-era data-entry tool. The paid wraps around it are pricey, opaque, and slow. Most owners we talked to picked the path of pain — a single sustainability analyst typing into Portfolio Manager for a week every spring.
So we built the version we wished existed: real EPA-aligned methodology, modern UI, transparent pricing, sub-minute scoring, automatic city filing for every covered US jurisdiction, and an API for everyone who wants to integrate.
What we believe
- Benchmarking should be free for one building. Anyone curious enough to type their numbers in deserves a real answer.
- Pricing should be on the pricing page. If you have to ask, it's too expensive.
- The methodology should be public. Every number we show links to its source.
- Filing is software, not consulting. Most filings should take minutes, not weeks.
- Recommendations should come with payback math. A list of ECMs without ROI is wallpaper.
Where we play, where we don't
We're benchmarking-first and filing-first. We're not trying to replace your CMMS, your bill-pay processor, your investment-grade audit firm, or your sustainability consultant. We integrate cleanly with all of them.
If your team needs a single source of ESG truth for billion-dollar institutional portfolios, Measurabl is excellent and probably the right buy. If you need a full ASHRAE Level 2 audit, hire an engineer. For everyone else, Meter Ready is the modern default.
